According to the reviews it does great with 2 3/4" which makes it 5 +1

Sorry, not really an answer but more questions - I noticed the magazine is "plugged" so you can't go past 4 or 5 shells if you add an extension. Is it illegal to mod this so you can add an extension tube? I can't find any info on this anywhere.
