70 series. It passes the drop test because it uses a titanium firing pin which has less mass. we always replace the firing pin which is proprietary with a steel one. you will need to grind the diameter of the forward portion to .065 for it to work because there is no steel one to replace it. probably because of liability issues.

springfield guns are based on the Series 70 firing system they are not Swartz (Kimber) springfield says they are series 70 NO Springfield 1911 models use a firing pin safety of either sort. No series 80 and no Swartz I have 3 springfield 1911s and they are series 70

There is no firing pin safety in a Springfield 1911. They do NOT use the Schwartz system like Kimber, or any other type of firing pin safety.
