Mircea, the A-Max is more of a "Target" construction bullet. In 308., you would need hunting specific bullet like the SST (Super Shock tip), BTSP (Boat Tail Soft Point), SP Interlock etc. Hornady lists the recommended bullet uses here under 308 (just scroll down to 308) : https://www.hornady.com/ammunition/rifle/#!/
