I have looked on savage web site and searched the web with no luck. I am trying to figure out if the barrel on this gun is stainless. only info I can fin says matte finish, so my question is it matte black or stainless. looks stainless in pictures but they can be deceiving

Eric, this UPC code is for a "Blued Action and Barrel" rifle. Picture flash makes it look much lighter than it actually is. (It is a Blued carbon steel barrel w/sporter contour).
