Sort've, but the extractor will be slightly different and definitely the magazines, on top of a barrel swap. So if your willing to do all that, then yea it will work
your problems with caliber swaps in 1911s are that most 1911s use a throated barrel not a ramped barrel. the feed ramp is part of the frame and they are cut differently for each caliber also the ejector would have to be replace with the proper ejector (ejector is pinned in place) extractor would not be a issue as the extractor is part of the 1911 slide assembly and the 38 super magazines will work just fine for 9mm I use my 38 super magazines in my 9mms all the time. It can be done but it would be better to get a dedicated 9mm and be happy
