Hi Julian, This is legal as long as you don't modify it. Then you would need the Nfa tax stamp

it will have to be shipped to your local FFL (dealer) but it does not require a NFA stamp. it is classified as a handgun not a rifle if you put a stock on it it would then become a short barreled rifle and require a NFA tax stamp (license) from the ATF

Julian, this firearm is classified as a regular "Pistol" and will be treated as such as long as you do not add a "Shoulder Stock". Braces can be added with changing the classification from a "Pistol".
