Kyle, This is a fine firearm for under $150. The biggest problem with Hi-Point is the reliability of the magazines. With a .380 the compensator is superfluous, but the blow back design is reliable. Lifetime warranty. Fine starter firearm, but save up another $150 and there are a ton of striker fired carry pieces for under $300. Can find a lot of .380's under $200 such as Ruger LCP, Taurus 738, Kel tec P3AT, Diamondback DB380 etc. Good Luck.
For the money the Hi Points are very decent pistols that run Kyle. If one can get around the weight, looks and ergonomics, they do what they are designed to do, just like the more expensive options. Just look up a few reviews and shooting video's on you tube for first hand information and make your decision from there.
it works just fine and is a good gun at its price point
from cali and anyone I talk to has nothing but negative reviews on it
