Abdul, the Taurus G2C will serve your self-defense needs just fine. I have tested several and they are very reliable. My wife would not be allowed to carry hers if it was not.

Abdul, The G2C is actually a tried and true third generation Taurus handgun. The first Gen was the PT111, then came the PT111 G2 Millennium, and now the G2C.The G2C is a compact version of the Millennium. The difference, other than size is Taurus eliminated the crazy key locking safety mechanism on the G2C. The other significant change, in my opinion is the trigger., The Millennium has a much better trigger (almost on par with the Wather PPQ) than the G2C, Nonetheless, at the price point of the G2C it is hard to beat in terms of quality and performance. The G2C is an excellent choice for an entry-level self defense handgun.
