None, just your background check at pickup. You need no license to buy or own a handgun in Texas. But you'll need a permit only if you plan to carry it.
No. You will need a valid state-issued ID. Many FFLs will not sell to out-of-state residents. This is due to the FFL's requirement to uphold your resident state's gun laws, and the inherient complexity associated with many states.
nope, you're good. Pass the background check, you're fine.
No worries as you do NOT need a license. Just an NCIS check (the FFL will do it for usually $5 plus a $20 transfer fee if you pick a Preferred FFL).

You don't need a permit in order to pick up a weapon from an FFL. Depending the FFL you use. Depends on the transfer fee you will pay before you walk out of the FFL with your weapon. Just make sure you have a valid DL and that the address is correct on your DL. You will have to fill out paperwork for a backgriund2 check and you don't want anything to cause an issue for you not being able to take your weapon home that day.
