You CAN shoot .22 shorts out if it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Stick with the long rounds
Yes you can shoot shorts, longs, CBs and even shot-shells … just remember that anything shorter than Long Rifles can leave burnt powder deposits in the cylinder but it's no problem to clean out. Just clean the chambers pretty much the way you clean the barrel.
