I bought one of these and after throwing the first 40 or 50 rounds to clean it, I noticed that the paint was peeling. I contacted Buds Gun but they do not want to honor the guarantee claiming that Springfield is responsible. I called Springfield and they told me that they do not paint the Slides, that Buds gun shops paint them or send them to paint. Buds Guns does not want to honor the guarantee. Hi Rene, I am terribly sorry you are having the issue that you are. Looking at your situation, I would recommend go through the BBB "Better Business Bureau" as higher up's at Buds will be inclined to resolve your issue once contacted by the BBB. that makes no sense on the Springfield side as other venders sell this same gun in the FDE color it should be a springfield issue as Bud does not "paint" the slide they will not even open a box to take out a non compliant magazine they do not "modify" guns in any way I would re call Springfield and if you get the same answer ask for a supervisor
