So I'm looking to get a benelli nova and comes in 12 ga 3.5 chamber. Would the gun be fine firing 2.75" slugs out of it? Don't do much trap shooting and stick to mostly deer but wanted to make sure the nova wouldn't have any issues firing the smaller shell in the larger chamber. I intend on grabbing a rifled barrel for it down the road but for the time being and with season starting soon wanted to know if it would be ok with the smaller slugs in the stock barrel

yes it will be fine and you will not have any issues firing the 2 3/4 or 3 inch slugs

Grayson, absolutely yes.  The 3.5" Chamber allows you to fire 3.5" and any shorter shell including Slugs without issue.
