Eric, this model has a Forged steel frame and slide with Black-T® finish. The PI9131ER has a Forged Aluminum Alloy Frame with Black-T® finish. Includes (2) Blued Steel Mags only.

Both model # PI9131ER and PI9131E are the same guns. They have steel frames, not alloy. The difference is the model number. The model # ending in "R" came with a range bag and four magazines. It was a promotion Springfield offered when the R.O. Elite launched, and is no longer offered. PI9131E comes with two magazines.
