Hi Destry, I live in NC and am not charged any "Sales Tax", just shipping and optional insurance fee. You should check with Buds Customer Service today to remove the sales tax charge at at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner starting at 9am. (Buds has been a little slow on activating Chat on the weekends lately so be patient).

The Supreme Court ruled it was legal for states to collect sales tax for online orders - even if the business is in another state. NC started collecting sales tax on Nov. 1st.
