Yes you can Kenneth. If you have a decocker model when you do use the decocker the hammer goes to half cocked position. You can manually pull the hammer back to go back to full cocked position.

If you chambered a round and then decocked it, you can fire by cocking the hammer or simply pulling the trigger.
