Matthew, This firearm is well made enough to handle +P ammo. Only problem I had was shooting Hornady 220 gr +P Flex Lock and the MIM barrell lug tab broke off. Replaced with $4.50 stainless steel lug and no issues since. Gun will not blow up on +p ammo.

Matthew, yes, all the Tisas line of pistols are +P Rated including their 1911's.
