Phillip, I would confirm this with Bushmaster as I question their website description. The Gas Tube is clearly built into the the front post and is near the end of the barrel. I have an Bushmaster Oracle that I just replaced the barrel and went from Picatinny gas block to low profile gas block on a 16" carbine barrel. By looking at the picture, the gas block on the Bushmaster 90829 looks closer to the barrel tip than mine. I think it may be a mid-length gas system. The type of gas system is determined by distance from the gas port hole to the tip of the barrel. The approximate distances are, 12: for rifle gas sys; 9" for mid length gas sys, and 7" for carbine gas sys. The rifle length gas system will not fit a 16" barrel, but the mid and carbine length will fit 16" barrel. The key factor is where the gas port hole is located on the barrel. The follwing note is on Buds description of the gun and it confirms my suspicion that it is in fact a mid length gas system. "This MOE Dissipator Carbine in 223 Remington/5.56 NATO utilizes the longer gas system and sight radius of a rifle with the barrel length of a carbine."
