Thomas, this pistol comes standard with the "Medium" Carry Length Coyote Grip Module and you would need to order the "Small" Grip separately as you stated.

It's my understanding you have to purchase a small frame as the are no replaceable back straps.

The 320 comes with the medium grip "frame" from the factory but they very easy to change to smaller or larger. You can also change the color (black, FDE, army green) and from 9mm to 40 SW to .357 SIG....if you can field strip it you can change it to what ever you want.  Also from sub-compact to compact to full size ...Once your have the serial numbered trigger group you can make it whatever you want and can afford ...really easy.  I have three 320s and love them.
