Ralph, All firearms sold in the US must have a lock when shipped. Most are cable locks. There is no key lock on this firearm or trigger guard insert lock, just cable lock that must be shipped with all new firearms

it comes with a rock island branded cable lock that you use to prevent the cylinder from being closed. it does not include a trigger lock
