You can put detachable carry handle on rail no problem. In order to put on an A2 front sight gas block you would have to shorten or replace the 7.8" forend with a 7" forend to replace the carbine length gas block with an A2 sight gas block. The last inch or .8' of forend is covering existing gas block.
