Unfortunately none of the gen 4s are legal in California
I'm sorry, no. This is not on the official list on the CA website. As a side note, no Gen 4 Glocks have been approved yet either
The Gen4 Glocks are not on the approved list. So for CA, the only way you can get one is via LEO sale or PPT or out-of-state intra-familial gift. The Gen4 Glocks have too many internal changes for Glock to get them listed via the exemption they used to get the SF & RTF2 Glocks listed. So, if Glock submits them for testing they will need to have a CA DOJ approved chamber load indicator and a magazine disconnect.
Currently no American made Glocks are approved, no Gen 4s and no Gocks without an exterior safety are approved. The state of California is the most difficult state to buy any gun in by far. And the laws frequently change there making it even more confusing and difficult to keep up with. Checking the California State Gun Roster is the best way to get the information you need.
