I want to get this rifle in 308 or 6.5, I dont hunt. I just want to bench target shoot paper targets. I like the 6.5, but I feel some places would have that ammo. 308 been around 1952, (what I read) so, which rifle should I buy myself for xmas 2018?!?

Eli, 308 would be the logical choice due to ammo availability and weight range of bullets. 6.5 can be gotten later when ammunition choice and availability ramps up. The 308 is an old race horse that is still very much in "The Game" Sir.

I would go with the .308 the 6.5 is the latest "fad" but the .308 has proven that it has staying power and the ammo will be available at many more places plus you can use 7.62 NATO ammo
