while it should be legal I don't know of anyone who makes a brace to fit the Mossberg 500 action and I would be very cautious about making ANY modifications to the shockwave or the Remington version as they are such a grey area you could very well find yourself arrested and having to defend those legal mods in a court of law and hoping that the opinion of the jury/judge goes in your favor this article is a example even though he was found not guilty it still cost him https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/11/daniel-zimmerman/atf-suffers-rare-court-loss-in-ohio-short-barrel-rifle-prosecution/
Adding a Brace to the Shockwave is Federally legal. Due to State potential hanky panky, check with your local Law Enforcement (who enforce your local laws), "see what I did there", and get their opinion before you proceed for your own protection. I favor the SB Tactical Brace but there are many options : https://www.google.com/search?biw=1280&bih=618&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=hyEiXPjnJIi2ggf6mb_YCA&q=mossberg+shockwave+braces&oq=mossberg+shockwave+braces&gs_l=img.3...20134.22877..23144...0.0..0.74.612.9......1....1..gws-wiz-img.0x9KwWuD9jM#imgrc=MYGFZUPZnEpqdM:
