Anthony, this will depend entirely on the game you intend to hunt. Small deer on down, this will be fine. Larger deer, hogs etc, I would go with something a little heavier.

small deer and smaller game you would be ok if the shot is placed properly (please nothing larger than a small whitetail deer ). some state laws have minimum calibers for hunting so please check your state laws I would recommend a .243 for deer sized game and a 270, .308 or 30-06 for the most versatile hunting rounds
