Yes it will ease in. Just add a little more oil when cleaning.

John, The slide will loosen up with use, cleaning, and proper lubrication. After you clean and lube, remove ammo and rack slide over and over to loosen up. Smith & Wesson has a 380 ACP firearm called the Shield E-Z that is supposedly very easy to rack for those with arthritis, carpel tunnel, or very week. BUDs item number 415005134 or 415003490.
