John, This is a Nickel alloy frame. So it is very hard and strong. Plenty of carbon steel in this frames metal alloy composition.

John, this pistol has a Nickel Coated Steel Frame according to EAA. Model's 770125 & 770123 are the only two "Alloy Framed" Revolvers that cannot be sold to any state with melt down point laws. Details from EAA here : https://eaacorp.com/guns/handguns/windicator-weihrauch-112
