David, non whatsoever. 38 Special will fire with no issues.

it will work just fine after shooting a lot of 38 special you will need to clean the carbon ring (buildup ) out of the cylinder. this ring could make loading .357 rounds a little harder until you clean it out

No issues at all. If it shoots a 357 then a 38 special is no issue. Feel comfortable with it.
