Issa, the specs are incorrect. This pistol has a Striker Fired Trigger/Action.

its a striker fired many places will list them (striker fired guns) as either DA or SA even thought the are nor really either

It is both a "SA" and a "DA" handgun although not in the traditional sense that the trigger is doing the work. When the gun is unloaded, and no bullet in the chamber it requires the operator to manually pull the slide back to load the first round into the chamber. Thus "SA". From there on out, as the gun is fired the slide travels to the back of the gun, then goes forward again picking up a round out of the magazine and loading it in the chamber and its ready to fire again. Thus "DA". These a little more than that going on, but in essence that's the sequence of events. The purest terms of SA and DA refer to revolvers and most hammer fired pistols. The Shield is a striker fired pistol and is both SA and DA as I described above. I have the S&W Performance Center version of 9mm Shield and its an excellent handgun.
