William, this should be fine. Scientifically formulated for outdoor wear and gear, our Water Repellent Spray bonds to fabric with no odor, yellowing, or stiffness when dry. It provides long-lasting water, dirt, and stain repellency.

the only way to know for sure is to try it. It depends on the leather most weather proofing will cause leather to get darker. Leather getting wet will cause it to get darker
