they are the same gun except the 84F has 10 round mags so it can be sold in restricted states the 84fs has 13 round for those of us in "free states"

Both Pistols are identical except for the factory supplied Magazines of 10rds for the 84F and 13rds for the 84FS as you stated. Finishes are the same. Blueing is the process that they use to color it , but the end result is a black finish.
