Barry, it should be Double Action/Single Action. This means the pistol has a heavy 1st trigger pull then subsequent lighter trigger pulls for the rest of the shots. It is somewhat of a safety feature. Some details here : https://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/learning-double-action-trigger/
1st trigger pull the trigger pulls back the hammer and fires the gun then the cycling of the action leaves the hammer in the Pulled back position and the (SA) trigger pull only releases the hammer
Barry, I own this gun. It is striker fired, no hammer. They call a lot of striker fired firearms single/double, but this firearm has a GREAT trigger. Right at 4.5 lb pull on my trigger gauge. Love it. One of the best triggers out there. I own Glock, CZ, Sigs, S&W, Springfield, Ruger. This CI/Canik is one of my top 3 triger feels and pull. You will not regret getting this firearm.
