yes it could be carried as a duty sidearm its around a Inch shorter (OAL) the either the G19 or the cz75 compact and has 3 less rounds the weight is about the same

The K9's OAL = 6", 4.5" tall, 0.90" wide and weighs 23.1oz. ---- The Glock 19's OAL = 7.28", 5.05" tall, 1.26" wide and weighs 23.63oz. ---- The CZ75 Compact's OAL = 7.2", 5.0" tall, 1.4" wide and weighs 32 oz. (The Kahr K9 will be the easiest to carry but, due to capacity, the G19 would be my choice as a "Duty Sidearm" Sir).
