Considering buying one of these CVA rifles either the standard blued version, or the Scout with the muzzle brake. 2 part questions knowing how light it is does the muzzle brake tame the felt recoil, and in the 45-70 chambering are the scope rings and base a one piece unit or can i use any Weaver style rings or sight on the base on the stainless steel scout or standard blued model? Buds weight is incorrect from CVA this gun is 8 lbs see *******The muzzle brake will help with recoil. changing to a better recoil pad would also help. there are no scope rings included just a weaver type DuraSight Scope Rail Mount specs specs

Peter, Overall Weight is 8lbs and the Muzzle Brake will shave approximately 30% recoil from the rifle. The DuraSight Scope Rail will accept either Weaver or Picatinny Scope Rings.
