Is there a way to legally change an SBR into a PISTOL with a brace. I would like to buy a SIG MPX 8 inch but as fare as I can tell they are only making SBR versions. I know I can buy a used MPX but they are asking $2000 for them.

Joe, an SBR would be registered as such upon manufacture. It would be strange to go from an SBR to a "Brace" setup especially if you have a legally registered SBR (most usually inquire/want the opposite). It may be possible but, I would confirm this with a local FFL in any event.
