I have been looking on line for a red do adapter for a Ruger Security 9. I found one online (Lakeline LLC) and I'm reluctant to order it because of the dovetail installation method it shows. Does not look like it would hold up. Anyone familiar with this company or similar product?
At only $32.95 plus $2.99 shipping I wouldn't be out a lot, just looking for some information.

Paul, it should hold up as recoil of the slide is straight back and forward and there are no side to side movement. The dovetail mount has it's greatest strength front to back due to the full front to back contact of mount bracket in the slot.

the dovetail setup is the only choice that does not require gunsmith modifications to the slide or frame. I would stay with the small pistol type red dots like the Burris Fastfire
