I would be cautious about a steady diet of heavy loads but I think a occasional round or two would be fine. I strongly encourage you to contact Uberti and ask them Stoeger Industries Attn.: Service Department 901 Eighth Street Pocomoke, MD 21851 Phone: (301) 283-6981 (option 2) or (800) 264-4962 (option 2) or https://www.uberti-usa.com/contact-us
Robert, CAS loads are fine of course. (BB seems fine in similar Lever rifles - (https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=38). For warranty and safety reasons I would ask Uberti-USA directly on the BB loads at Phone: (301) 283-6981 (option 2) or (800) 264-4962 (option 2) or by email inquiry here : https://www.uberti-usa.com/contact-us
Most of these lever gun designs are a toggle lock mechanism, which is inherently not the strongest. You COULD pound it with heavy loads, but it would deteriorate the locking mechanism at a greater rate. If you shoot lighter loads for plinking, then the occasional anvil down the barrel, it'll be just fine.
