Roger, yes, the P2022 can still be fired in Double Action mode.

after the hammer is lowered the gun become a DA firearm if it is a DAO model it will fire DA from then on if it is a DA/SA the it will fire one time DA then be a SA until you use the decocker again

The trigger will remain 'engaged' in the sense the firearm can still be fired in DA mode after using the decocker..
