James, Yes it can. No issues whatsoever with +P Ammunition in the Witness Polymer Pistol Sir.

Can you? yes. I believe the manual recommends against it however. There are several very adequate defense rounds available in non +P loads. Gold Dot, and Federal are two companies who produce that type of ammunition.

James, If you can afford it and feel a need to use it this fine firearm will eat all the +P ammo you want to feed it.

This pistol is made in Europe where the normal loads are basically +P. It's a big pistol and will handle it nicely.
