Charles, the mount clamps on a 1"Scope or tube and since it is not rated for magnum rifles, would probably not fare very well on a shotgun barrel even if it were attachable.

You might get it to clamp onto a shotgun barrel - the mount is 1 inch. however this states it is for all small caliber rifles and all air rifles up to 1000 fps. Brilliant red beam. Matte black. Includes batteries, hex wrench and instruction manual. I'd be worried about it not being able to withstand the recoil of a shotgun, since it is rated for velocities up to 1000 feet per second. That doesn't even cover most .22 ammunition. Charles. No, There is no way this accessory would work/function very well mounted on a shotgun barrel. Just isn't meant to be used for that purpose.

It would be a waste of money and would not stand the recoil
