by federal law you are legal to purchase a AR 10 as far as a special license that will be dependent on your state I know in FL you must be 21 I suggest checking with a Local FFL about any state or local laws that may affect you

Randy is correct - Federal law says you can purchase an AR-15 .. some states however have seen fit to deny you this right, and have raised the age limits to 21. Just ask a local firearms dealer and they will let you know for sure about the requirements in your state.
