Michael, Rock Island 1911's do not use firing pin block safeties, just the grip safety and manual thumb safety.

No Michael, this 1911 is a Series 70, does not have the firing pin safety. It has the beavertail grip safety, the thumb safety, and most importantly, the shooter's trigger finger - the most important safety of all!
