Chad, yes Sir, This model does have the "Reverse Index Pawl". All of the new models have the free spin done at the factory but the reverse index plunger stops them from spinning backwards so the Cylinder lines up with the barrelwhen the loading gate is open.

In a nutshell, the 50th Blackhawks, 50th Super Blackhawk, .44Spl Blackhawk and New Vaquero sixguns have what is essentially a freespin pawl coupled with a little plunger that interacts with the cylinder ratchet to assure that on the audible "click", the chamber lines up with the loading port. It does NOT allow the cylinder to spin in both directions. Remove that plunger and you have a freespinning cylinder.
