Michael, this rifle has a Internal Magazine and a H-S Precision synthetic stock with a glued on standard pad and full length aluminum bedding.
Magazine is internal box design. Interestingly, I read in a review: "This is the same rifling found on the U.S. Army's M24 Sniper Weapon System. The Army's testing protocol for these barrels is extremely rigorous; it's the kind of testing that only gets done when Uncle Sugar is paying the bill." That same review described the recoil 'pad' thusly: "There isn't much of a recoil pad, but there really isn't a need for one " So, I have to assume, it is the standard, generic Remington 700 'recoil pad' .. which is to say a 'butt plate'. Sounds like it may be a very good shooter though.
I have one. Hinged, rubber recoil pad.
