James, this magazine should work with the Mod 2 subcompact (clearly not a flush fit for obvious reasons). Any magazines intended for the XD should work with this gun, XD(m) magazines should be the only ones that don't fit.

James, yes, the magazine catch notch is the same and will lock in just fine.
