I have the competition Mark IV, and have shot the Hunter. For all intents and purposes, both guns shoot identically. The sight radius is great on the hunter because of the length of the barrel, and the sights are good, even through the sights on the target/competition are different, the aiming is essentially the same. There is one thing to be aware of on the Mark IV, the trigger is very heavy out of the box, and that impacts accuracy more than anything else. It feels like it is about 5lbs, where my other target 22s, like Smith 41, Smith Victory, Beretta Neo, all have 2-3lb pulls, and shoot better for me than my Competition IV. So plan to have some trigger work done on the Mark IV to get it where it needs to be. The accuracy of the pistol is excellent otherwise, and I figure I could get dime sized groups at 10 yards with the sights, like my other .22s,, but the trigger often pushes my groups into 2", especially if I am fatigued. Go with the Hunter. All of them are a pain to takedown and reassemble though.
