Monica, this should a newer production rifle with a 1 in 7 Twist rate(the old twist rate was 1 in 9). The twist rate will be on the Box and Buds Customer Service should be able to verify this with their inventory department at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.
Monica - The real problem is you get workers who don't accurately record all the detailed information when they 'list' a particular firearm. And, you get manufacturers who change a model up a bit, and the changes don;t get properly listed when the new modified versions ship out. Plus, we have a few on here who place more value on being "first to answer' to try to get points, that they put 'speed' over accuracy, unfortunately. . As an example, Buds lists this as a Core "Base" while Core calls it the "Scout" Here are the specs from Core's website, for THIS Modei's barrel: CORE15® 16" Government Profile 1:9 Twist, 4150 Black Nitride Finish. CORE15® 16" Government Profile 1:9 Twist, 4150 Black Nitride Finish
Monica, I got this specific firearm 3 months ago and it came with a 1 in 9 twist. That is what the UPC code says also. I also heard about a 1 in 7 twist upgrade. Unless your planning on shooting a heavy diet of over 62 grain rounds no big deal. Handles all 55 and 62 grain rounds I've put through mine fine.
