Edward - here are the most prominent of the changes in the new Gen 5 Glocks: New finish .. Glock has a new finish on the Gen 5s, that is sometimes described as a 'lighter black'. It is supposed to be as tough as the Tennifer finish; Flared mag-well; The Gen 5 Glocks ship with Ameriglo GLOCK Spartan Operator night sights up from polymer sights; You will also notice a more rounded front end on the Gen 5 Glock'; there is no more locking block pin; the slide stop is now ambidextrous: There are the biggest changes, along with the fact of the new Gen 5 barrel, that will safely shoot even non-jacketed lead bullets.
