its a fixed modified choke and slugs are 100% safe in this barrel for best accuracy use rifled slugs not sabot slugs (sabots are made for Rifled barrels)

Joshua, - As this gun has a modified choke (fixed choke - not removable) you will be fine with shooting rifle slugs. I've had some pretty good results shooting slugs in a modified choke barrel. Of course you'd want to take it to the range and shoot a few before hunting season, just to make sure you know how yoru particular gun shoots.
