does this shot damage shotgun barrels like steel shot? is this tungsten steel easier on barrels then hevi-shot? i no longer see bismuth shot for sale. please enlighten me, i know lead is prohibited for some uses.

The biggest thing with steel shot is to not use the super tight (lead shot only) chokes like some turkey and extra full choke tubes are as the steel does not compress and flow like the lead shot did other than that there are no issues with modern shotguns. I know some duck hunters that will not save steel shot (that they have had in the Boat/blind) because some early steel loads had issues with (if the got damp/humid) the steel shot rusting into a mass
