Yes it has a manual thumb safety

Mario - yes, the LC9S does have a thumb safety on the left rear side of the slide. If you can find the LC9S Pro model, it does not have a thumb safety. Since Ruger discontinued this model, in favor of the EC9, the LC9's are in short supply pretty much everywhere.
